Stories, language, legends and landscapes. These two CDs are a taste of what was made in Coonamble in a few hot and dusty days in September 2009. Those who were there know that the atmosphere was magic.
These two CDs feature the
Moorambilla Voices children's choir, the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus, the Maxed Out Company and more, singing fresh new Australian music composed by Elena Kats-Chernin, Dan Walker, Luke Byrne, Ben Van Tienan and Michelle Leonard.
The Gala Concert CD includes the two key works composed for the 2009 Moorambilla Festival: Baiame's Ngunnhu suite (Elena Kats-Chernin) and the Yowie! suite (Dan Walker and the MAXed OUT company). The Plaza Theatre CD includes a variety of new and traditional works that were performed at Moorambilla 2009.
